A WALK IN THE JEWISH QUARTER – 4 hour private walking tour

Everyday life in the Jewish Quarter of Budapest.

Today, tommorow…..yesterday

Budapest has undoubtedly numerous wonders – some strikingly obvious to the eye, whilst others request time to unfold, telling us a story in the language of atmosphere, impressions, people, buildings and the smallest details.

The Jewish quarter of Budapest – located on the Pest side, with long narrow streets hiding beautiful synagogues significant to Budapest, but even throughout Europe, classicist and art nouveau buildings with decorations and facilities which tell us the story of a once shining district known as the center of Budapest commercial and cultural life.

The walking tour includes the visit to the 4 magnificent synagogues deriving from the 19th located in the district – combined with a magical discovery of art nouveau, romantic, classicist buildings of Király – , Dohány – , Wesselényi – , Kazinczy street.

The tour places special focus on the introduction of the memorials, locations and events reminding us today of the Holocaust and the martyrs killed during  World War II.

Today the district offers a café and pub culture with indescribable design surrounding and atmosphere – created by Budapest intellectuals and non-conventional artists. You have to see it, you have to live it!
